The event is free of charge, but we require a £30 deposit, fully returned upon submission and presentation at ETH Oxford. You can attend as a non-hacker too, but the deposit is not returned.

About the hack

ETH Oxford (March 8-11), is one of the largest-ever hackathons organised in the UK, hosted by HomeDAO. It is hosted at Oxford's Mathematical Institute with expected bounty prizes amounting to well over £40,000 and a Harry Potter-style Gala dinner on the final day. What's included in the ticket?

Two breakfasts and four main meals on Saturday and Sunday, a sponsor's goodie bag, coffee and snacks throughout the entire weekend. You'll also be able to participate in all the side activities, including the Super Smash Bros Tournament, Poker Tournament, Spike Ball Tournament and Yoga session.

Accepted hackers are given a 50% discount code for the Gala Dinner.

What's the Gala Dinner?

The Gala dinner is a 3-course formal dinner with wine included hosted at Exeter College. All Main Track judges will be in attendance, as will sponsors and all Main Track finalists from the hackathon (they are given free tickets). All accepted hackers receive a 50% discount code for the Gala dinner. We send out these codes 3 times a week and you can then use the code to claim your Gala Dinner Ticket. Dress code: formal (suit or dress), but we won't refuse anyone at the door.

What if there's a conflict and I can't attend?

The deposit is fully refundable up until 3 weeks before the hackathon starts. Before this, you can email us at ethoxford@home-dao.com to request to have your deposit returned.

I need a place to sleep outside the two guaranteed nights

We let all hackers stay overnight at the Main Venue on the night of the 8th (Fri) and the 9th (Sat). We can accommodate hackers who are travelling far for the hack. Please don't request this if you have the economic means to pay for one night of hostel. If you require accommodation to attend outside of those nights, please apply using this form.
