2nd Annual Junior Angler Fishing Camp June 28th, 2024

Keweenaw National Historical Park, Calumet Visitor Center, 98 Fifth Street, Calumet, MI 49913
No tickets are available at this time.

The Calumet Keweenaw Sportsmen's Club, in partnership with the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, Keweenaw National Historical Park, and the National Park Foundation are hosting a series of one-day fishing camps for children 16 years old or younger.

These fun and free, one day camps will introduce aspiring young anglers to fishing and also provide them with a brief glimpse of the history of the Keweenaw. Each day camp will begin at the Keweenaw National Historical Park's Visitor Center where they will be introduced to the park.

Campers will then receive an introduction to fishing in an indoor setting. They (and any family members who are observing) will then be provided with a free lunch, followed by a National Park Service Ranger led historical tour that will lead them to Swedetown Pond. The afternoon will be filled with hands on opportunities to fish, with experienced instructors there to assist. The day will conclude with the campers being sworn in as Junior Rangers by the National Park Service.
